Licensed Occupational Therapist and Certified Autism Specialist
Kelly is a registered and licensed occupational therapist. Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, she first found her passion working with children with disabilities while volunteering for a local summer camp. Kelly moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to attend Duquesne University and acquire a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences and Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. During her clinical experience, Kelly worked with children in both psychiatric and traditional physical disability settings. She recently moved to North Carolina to work with us and is looking forward to spending time at the beach, learning to paddle board, and exploring her new home! She is a Certified Autism Specialist through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards.
Stephanie is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. Stephanie graduated from Penn State University with her Associates in Occupational Therapy and her Bachelors in Health and Science. She then completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania. Stephanie first found her passion working with children with disabilities while nannying for a family with a child who had a traumatic brain injury. Stephanie has experience working in the school system for 2 years and in a pediatric facility for medically fragile children for 7.5 years. She recently moved to North Carolina to work with CTC and is looking forward to spending time with her three kids and husband exploring the town of New Bern, going to the beach and becoming more involved in the community. Stephanie is certified in the SOS Feeding Approach and Child Passenger Safety.
Lisa is a licensed physical therapist. She attended Humboldt State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a Pre-Physical Therapy emphasis in 2007. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2012 from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. She has worked to serve across multiple settings of physical therapy, including adult home health, school-based physical therapy, and acute care. She has recently relocated to North Carolina from Arizona and is excited to return to her passion for pediatrics to serve the needs of our community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her family and friends, RV camping, ATV riding, going to the beach, and spending time with her husband, young daughter, and 2 dogs.
Olivia is a licensed physical therapist. Olivia grew up near Denver Colorado and spent much of her youth playing soccer and swimming. She loves hiking, rock climbing, kayaking and most any other outdoor activity. Olivia graduated from University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, VA with her Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Science and a minor in Spanish. Olivia recognized a calling to help children in high school, which was solidified after she spent two months volunteering at the Hilo Rojo school in Trujillo, Peru over one summer during college. She returned to Colorado after her undergraduate degree and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Regis University. She spent her final clinical rotation at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Her desire for a location with warmer climate and being closer to her siblings and extended family has brought her to NC, where she hopes to spend more time at the beach than she ever did living at the base of the Rocky Mountains.
Hayley is a graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she studied Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Deaf Studies. She continued to earn her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Long Island University-C.W. Post. Before relocating to North Carolina, Hayley worked in New York specializing in Early Intervention, working with children birth to 3 years old and providing parent and caregiver support. Her passion involves working with children through play to help them succeed in using communication to express themselves and understand others. Hayley also has experience working with children in the preschool setting, as well as experience working with children with autism and developmental delays. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, their mini-goldendoodle named Waffles, and being outside as often as possible.
Rachelle is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She graduated in 2004 with B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Special Education from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. In 2006, Rachelle graduated Magna Cum Laude with Masters of Science from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. She has experience woking with adults and geriatrics in long term care and home health settings. She also has experience working with pediatrics in early intervention, as well as in the school setting. Rachelle is Vital Stim certified and enjoys working with individuals with feeding/swallowing disorders. She has a passion for early intervention and helping kiddos and families in the community!
Stephanie is a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. She studied Business Communications with a concentration in Speech Communication Disorders. Stephanie continued her education at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. There she earned a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Her initial position was as a school-aged SLP within the North Carolina public school system, serving K-5 children. Additionally, she provided early speech therapy intervention services to at-risk pre-k children within the school district at their homes. She moved to the southern-central portion of NC and worked as the lead SLP for five skilled nursing facilities. While living in Eastern NC, her primary caseload has been pediatric clients. Her passion is weaning children off feeding tubes to a primarily oral, regular diet. She enjoys watching kids eat cookies or ice cream for the first time! Stephanie has a variety of experience working with children with Autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, hearing impairments, speech disorders (apraxia), Fragile X Syndrome, Down syndrome, Treacher Collins Syndrome and other neurogenic disorders. In her spare time, Stephanie loves all Marvel and DC movies!
Office Support and Community Outreach Coordinator; Autism Certificate
Melana is our Office Support and Community Outreach Coordinator. Her role at Carolina Therapy Connection is to embrace and encourage our culture within our organization and support our mission being carried out within our community. She graduated from Craven Community College in 2019, with her Associates in Arts degree. Since she was 16, she has worked with children at the YMCA and has helped lead summer camps and afterschool programs. She grew up with a brother with Autism and has a heart for serving children that need extra support. Melana is a huge asset to our team and has helped us launch our New Bern Clinic. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her hubby, hang out with her family, and be outside!
Cindy is the billing specialist for all locations at Carolina Therapy Connection. Cindy has over 12 years of billing experience in multiple medical office settings. Cindy is a member of AHIMA, and is currently working on her CPC credentialing. In her spare time Cindy enjoys kayaking, hiking, and playing with her two silly puppies Lilly, and Daisy.
Pat is the collections specialist for all locations at Carolina Therapy Connection. Pat works tirelessly with insurance companies and handles all of our billing claims and invoicing. She joins us from New York and will help to answer all of your billing questions!
Donnie is the Facility Services Manager at Carolina Therapy Connection and enjoys helping with whatever needs to be done for all the clinic locations. His goal is to make sure staff and facility needs are taken care of, so CTC can serve its families effectively and safely. As graduate of East Carolina University, Donnie grew up in Greenville and has a life-long attachment to Eastern NC. He served in the Navy and worked for the USPO during and after college, before beginning a long career at Burroughs Wellcome Pharmaceutical Company.Donnie is well-known in Greenville for his career as a baseball, softball, and basketball official. He held the Greenville Little League homerun record for 51 years and continues to see talent in young athletes.
